It is honestly one of the worst redesigns in web history. I was shocked when I saw it and its sister sites.

Looks like the number of visitors havent change much (yellow bar) but #of page views have drastically changes for the worse due to how cumbersome it is to quickly browse and click through stories. I really tried to like the new design by I'm finding myself visiting Joystiq and Dtoid more now.

I just recently got use to it, i check Kotaku one or twice a day. At first i didnt enjoy the side scroll menu, but Its not to bad. The search completely sucks now too lol. I do like the page set ups tho. With the comments and such its really nice :D the overall design is very friendly to the eyes, to bad the mechanics suck.

It was honestly the final nail in the coffin for my interest in Kotaku.

And I don't even go to the site! I subscribe to the RSS feed and but the redesign also caused the feed items to become briefs instead of full items.

Even if I could change it somehow, Kotaku posts too much content for me to care about the stuff I like.

So really, the redesign caused my to subscribe to Dtoid and Gamesradar.

Indeed. Doesn't help that there's no obvious way to bounce to different categories
