    There is some topics on individual characters so i thought i would open a topic on the characters so people can comment on them, ask questions about them and say which is they're favourite ;)

    Ill start it off. I like the way you cant see the assasins face, can all characters jump? and my favourite is the assault or support :)

    I'm curious to see how well they've balanced the classes, really.

    If what you play ONLY comes down to who your favorite character is, they've done their job.

    Nothing that I cant learn from playing -- In most games where it's class based, there is always the OP or Iwin button. As you've stated, if you do your job (which we dont doubt) it wont be so in MNC.

    Thats the main reason I've elected to snuggle up with the support class. It gives me the benefits I like without the fear of (for instance) the soldier being WAY overpowered and limiting my fun.

    It's not that I have questions about it, really, it's more of a "I'm eager to see how it's done."

    Another thing that I am hoping will happen is that in crossfire hopefully the team will be spread out with different classes i think it will be pretty boring with a team full of gunners or assassins

    What do you consider an Iwin button? I ask because there are things that can kill another player in 1 shot if they can pull it off.

    Two examples for an I Win button:
    Demigod, Erebus minions, Horn of Battle, pre patch:
    You can create a small army of minions that are almost unkillable for 20 seconds. They can get past any defense, exploit-hide within the citadel mesh and take down the citadel in one or two goes. Only a combination of demigods with high-damage AoE skills can stop them. You need two demigods to defend against a single Erebus.

    MechWarrior 4, 2 packs of Inferno rockets on an assault class or heavy mech. You can overheat your opponent and force a heat shutdown of his mech. Finish him off with light ballistic weapons in the weak rear armor of the torso. There is nothing you can do once your mech is overheating.

    An I Win button in my opinion is a strategy or tactic that can't be defended against or where you need an unreasonable amount of effort/ resources to counter it.

    Another example would be the ACU rush in SupCom2. It can be beaten but you need to spot it very early, adjust your whole strategy to counter it, get the timing just right and be on a map without water.

    A one shot kill would be okay if even a highly skilled player could only pull it off half the time or if the opponent had a way to avoid being killed again and again by the same tactic. I think the main focus should be that it can't be used to grieve or frustrate an opponent consistently.

    See for the tanks secondary weapon is that like a sniper rifle???

    can you zoom in on your weapons???? i think you can but im not sure (I know the sniper can zoom in but Im wonderin about the other characters,) i think i seen the tank zoomin in with his secondary

    I also wanted to know can you change the numbers onn the characters?????? :cool:

    Assault can zoom in with his rifle as well as Sniper. Numbers are not changeable, but maybe in a future release.

    I cant help but feel they missed out one character (no offense im probs wrong)
    Any 1 any ideas on new characters??

    You're not wrong, this isn't a right/wrong process.
    What do you feel like is missing? It might be handy to know what fans like for future content. :)

    I think tannk and gunner are 2 similar, and would like to see like a explosive expert in the game so he can plant C4s r something and detonate them but i think its 2 similar 2 the support

    The Assault has a C4 ability already, as far as I can tell.

    I dont know if this was covered or not, but I didnt see it in the search so here I go again.

    At PAX East I overheard a large number of people talking about they thought it was cheap that the one skill (I think it was the tanks) can knock you over the ledge, but you cant grapple the ledge even if youre right there.

    I specifically remember seeing an assault get knocked out, tried to fly back in, made it to the edge but he was just barely low enough where he couldnt fly back over and his complaint was that he should be able to grab the ledge to get back in.

    So I guess in summation its a two part comment:

    Is there already a way, or is there plans to implement a ledge grapple thing?

    Is that skill the tank has being looked into for balance reasons because I could see it being viewed as OP.

    How do you see the Tank and Gunner as similar? Maybe once you have your hands on the game, you'll see how vastly different the two of them play.

    The C4 type skill is something the Assault has, tehwalrus was correct.


    I spend every day looking at the balance of the game and have since the beginning of the project. I'm going to try my best to make sure there's no 'Win buttons'. So yes, the Tank charge is powerful but the Tank has to get close enough to the action to use it and he is the slowest class on the field.

    As for ledge grappling... maybe in future content. Not sure it fits with the speed of MNC and it's a lot of production time to get something you may use once.

    Thats fine, I didnt find an issue with it, Im just the kind of guy who is the permanent messenger. I hear questions and I make sure their asked.

    I had a blast and I personally didnt have issues with the tank, I see what youre saying about getting close enough because he's strong but super super slow, so if he gets that close you werent paying attention

    You devs keep talking about possibly implementing suggested features into future content. I can't help but infer that you guys are close to finishing MNC....... Confirm or deny! :)
