Kittens? or THIS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gawa8uvs56U As far as OP is concerned. A possible fix to the "better players" would be the ability to restrict certain servers to only people above a certain level, or to people who have prestiged. It would give gaining levels some meaning, and allow you to only play with people who know the game better.
I think they just need to have tests to get into some servers. Some servers don't let you in unless you pass a test proving you know something about the game, other servers don't let you in unless you fail. Though, i'm sure there would be some people purposely failing tests to get into low servers lol.
I agree that level does not equal skill. But skill and stupidity are two different things, you will find skilless people in just about any pub, I just want to avoid as many stupid ones as I can. The stupid ones are much more detrimental to a team than a person who can't hold their own. And the more you play, the better your chances at knowing the game well enough to not be stupid are. Building longshots on Steel Peel, not hacking turrets, building lazer blazers as a gift of juice to the other team, assassins facegrappling tanks, etc. These should happen LESS at higher levels, not eliminate them. Your level is a direct result of playing more. The more you play, the better you get. It just take some people longer. I do realize there are people who will always suck, they just hopefully won't be stupid as well after a while. And Catzilla needs to be implemented no matter what. This is supposed to be the spectator sport of the future, what's better than watching people get mauled by an indestructible cat with laser eyes and telekinesis?
Techniquely, you can mathematically make more income by playing Sudden Death than you can playing Crossfire. Hence, you can play Blitz untill prestige and know NOTHING about Crossfire. Levels do mean nothing to certain people.
I face grapple juiced tanks and gunners just to waste their juice, because they will survive a back grapple anyway.
