The Assassin, Silence, and One-liners

tl;dr at the bottom.

I've never thought of it before but that's because 1) when I mostly play assassin she's silent and 2) the tank is always usually more straight forward and blunt than eccentric like support or assault.

Just listen to my question and think about it. There are a lot of one-liners I chuckle at with other classes.

"Think of this as a win-win, except both are for me!"

"I am steaming madness now!"

"Can we get a review on that!?"

I really chuckle at some of these lines. Maybe that's because I play as a mute assassin all the time and playing as someone who talks is a breath of fresh air but how would you feel if they changed the assassin's character?

Of course something appropriate to her personality, the point being so long as she's not mute. Strategically, making her as quiet as possible makes sense but I wouldn't mind if she had some lines in some other parallel universe somewhere in the multi-verse.

tl;dr: Are you attached to the assassin being mute because if not, what would you imagine her saying? And while we're at it, if future DLC added new dialogue, what would you love to hear from the pros?

EDIT1: Also, correction thanks to Eka. I threw around mute a little haphazardly. She's silent for words, but we all know she grunts and hums.

She's not mute but she doesn't feel like there's much to be said. She's a woman of action.

Her taunts are super boring too

I don't think so. I rather like them. They're quite elegant.

But taunts are there to make you laugh and piss of the enemy team, not impress them with your elegance.

Agreed. The dagger taunt is like "You have this big-*** gun, and yet you died to this little thing? You're pathetic."

I love switching from kunai to stars during early-match taunts so she makes with the "Whoop-dee-doo!"

Precisely. Her silence says it all, if not her vindictive chuckle.

I never get tired of that even though I hear it a lot personally.

Kind of funny I find her sword taunt her most boring of the three. Shuriken is a sort of martial arts flourish show off while her dagger taunt is her most characterized one but takes ages (I just switch to shuriken and hope I'm in time for the $100 window).

Of course, beyond her taunts, she just grunts or groans.

"Thees-a turrets-a mine now!" Com'on!

Shes the only class that will pimpslap you to death, and then a taunting ninja kick to put the icing on the cake.

Assassin is a ninja, ninjas do not flaunt what does not need to be shown besides skills

Hmmmm... uttering single words than? How does everyone feel about that?

One cold, expressionless, utterance to deliver her deadly and mysterious aura.

One trip, then a sword through the head. She fades into the background to continue her work. "... disappear."

Still I know her existing personality has won dedicated followers for a reason.

An evil chuckle when she fills her Juice Bar would be awesome.
And maybe when they're spawned she can mutter "Gapshot." "Bouncer." "Gremlins." "Buzzers." "Scramblers." "Jackbot."

She'll speak the day she takes her mask off..

Nah, it's cool. I just wanted to pull that one out.

Though that would be immensely helpful in some cases.

I'm fine with her being this level of silent. It really speaks to my own personality, one that I admit needs some work. I'll often go through the game being completely silent because I end up melding with the character.

Didn't she take it off during the advertisement of Spunky Cola, as evidenced in both the video and the signature directly above you?
