The "After Hours" Thread [Off-topic Chat]

I figure we need a thread for discussing random things. Sometimes I come here, browse, and don't want to post anything (i.e. feed trollz). So, hopefully there'll always be something interesting to reply to here. Can we please be civil? Oh who am I kidding... this'll descend into debauchery.

I've been listening to Incubus since 5AM. It's foggy out, no watching the sun rise for me. Sadface.

Apparently the Ps3 has been hacked. The secret number is 4.

I want Mass Effect 3. So bad.

I'm sitting here in my underwear.

I seen Eka post that and I laughed.

I have a serious hangover. No food + lots of booze = hangover That's ok nothing a morning shot can't remedy.

I can't wait for ME3 and BRINK!!

Ok, I'm off to wander around.

ME3 looks amazing. I want a job but I don't know were to start.

Eka's In Your Face interface (points for getting that reference!) makes me laugh all the time. He is indubitably one of my favorite devs, haha.

Gotta say, being a bum is the best. I just woke up, my hair's a hot mess, and I don't remember putting on the nightshirt I'm wearing.
Which is strange, because I don't drink. Is there such a thing as tea hangovers? Haha.

I am getting 100% in Mass Effect 2 this week. I never bother with Achievements, but I'm going to go out of my way to complete this game because I love it so much. Spent today getting the specialist Achievements, the romance one (apparently I didn't romance anyone in my first playthrough, so I cheated on Liara in my 2nd for an Achievement), the Explorer achievement, the level 30 achievement, and surprisingly, the one for keeping your team alive during the final mission. I think two people died during my main playthrough.

Just 4 achievements left! (including the Insanity game difficulty one :? )

I want to buy Blur because it's really cheap, but all reviews have said that it's Multiplayer is the main attraction. The developer's got shut down from Activision, so the online servers could get shut down... Anyone play it before?

Edit: Oh, there's an Illusive Man backstory comic coming out in 2011! Squee!

All I have left in ME2 is the three achievements. Beat the main story on Insanity and two from Liar of the Shadow Broker and one is beat it on Hardcore or Insanity.

In ME1 I have a butt load of achievements I still need to get. Mostly all the various skill achievements and of course an Insanity playthrough.

Deadstretch, do you want help with the ME1 skill achievements?

Go to Attican Beta - Hercules. Go to the anomaly or whatever they called it, then go to one of the monkey nests. Save, and use whatever skill you're trying to get the achievement for and kill all the monkeys with it. Reload and rinse and repeat.

Yeah I know I have the Strat. Guide it's just time consuming, plus I like to get achievements "legit."

By the time I read your post I had already seen the first three vids, but I'll take a look into the Developer one you posted as well.
The website also has a lot of insight into the game; that's where I am now.

Developer's insight is one of my favorite things to learn about a video game. It's like the third thing I look into (the first being the possibility of character customization {for which I'm a complete whore}) and the second being multiplayer capabilities {no point in looking good if you can't show off to your friends!}).

Game research is one of my hobbies--and it should be, if I'm going to make them someday.

Shower is taken, so I have to sit in my silk for a good half hour. Oh well, at least it's comfortable...

Well, it's really satin, but I address all such materials (including silk) as silk, haha.

I'm only like, middle-class. Two-story house with a balcony by a small lake in a newly built gated community near an elementary school, and such. Good news: It's 5 minutes away from an outdoor mall. Bad news: My job never gives me any hours, so I'm broke.

I don't have much. Anything I want I have to buy myself (discounting birthday/Christmas gifts). Being an only child helps a LITTLE, but not much. Haha~

Also, I'm highly upset that there isn't even a TOKEN woman in Brink.
MNC has one.
Borderlands has one.
Shoot, even Goldeneye has two. Bahaha.

Oh well.

Speaking of Goldeneye, I'm loving the Wii iteration.

Oh ya, Goldeneye. I was thinking of getting it because I wanted to get at least 1 wii game during the After Christmas buy 2 get 1 free sale at gamestop. I got no more heroes 2 instead, which is amazing. But you know it'd feel like I wasted money buying the Wii if I didn't get a Wii game, not saying that I forced myself too.

Anyone here have Lord Of The Rings; Battle For Middle-Earth 2 on Xbox? Haven't played it in years, but the online servers are closing in January and I'd like to grab some achievements before then
