Couldn't find anything related to this on this forum or the tracker but did not want to post it there as it seemed a little specific. Not sure if entries regarding terrain generation are pertinent or wanted but I figured I'd post it anyway. Picture says it all, water has clashed with an arctic ravine that also spans into two other biomes but retains the Icy texture.
Known issue, though it doesn't have a specific bug tracker report yet. Perhaps you'd like to be the one to report it? If not I'll copy-paste your post from here to there in about 10 mins. Thanks for helping us out crysander!
What I suspect: Planets are divided into different zones (press F11 then 2 to see them), each one having a water surface (or not). The problem is, that cracks can go into a zone which has a water layer (and even go into sea).
Careful when using F11. It can crash your game. Trying to reproduce the error right now. --- Edit: Couldn't reproduce, but I got some really pretty screenshots. The yellow lines are (I think) parallel lines to the "floor" plane, which indicate what orientation a building must be aligned to.
