Temporary resign.

Hi guys, it has come to the point of time where the game cannot be played at all, I will list my problems.

• Every update = laggier gameplay
• 75% of the time, I start up PA.exe and it crashes within 3-5 seconds.
• When I join a game, screen goes completely black.
• Get the "Failed to Join Game" or "Connection Lost" 80% of the time when joining a match.
• Game crashes 5 minutes into a game I can actually enter
• Once game crashes, I cannot start it up again until I restart my PC.
• Game also crashes my PC, along with my overclocking software which accidentally frenzied and overdone itself.

I have tried Planetary Annihilation on a GTX Titan with an i7 & 16GB DDR3 RAM (Not mine) and my current PC,ASUS HD7770 8GB RAM.
I do understand this is not the games fault, but the game has got worse for me over each and every update. Alpha played best; I do hope I can join you guys within a matter of weeks, if I tried now it would be virtually impossible to play.

Turns out, the game also lags heavy in the main menu, when only the overlay is running.

These things do tend to happen when new game elements are included.

Update graphics drivers, disable steam overlay, turn off shadows, disable Sli and FXAA.

Done it all before dude, just makes lower detail. No perf increase.

Wow, just got into a game and I removed particles from the fabbers and factories, absolutely massive increase in performance, about 100 FPS stable now.

100 fps? Pfft. I know of many PA testers who play at 15fps regularly.

Believe me, it works if you chop everything up to UBER Graphics.

Huh. I thought particles are supposed to be some of the cheapest visual elements around.

A single particle isn't a far cry from a single polygon. A particle has to have rotation, translation, scale and transparency applied to it; a polygon has to have rotation, translation, scale, transparency and shape (texture mapping and occlusion) applied to it.

When you have 100 Fabbers spraying 100 particles a second each, that's the equivalent of just under 10,000 polygons.

This is of course based on what I know about particles, Uber just might have not devoted any time to optimizing their particle system.

Uninstall steam version and install the uber launcher one it help me allot. Cause i disable the overlay and it was still doing it after i installed Ubers client i seen big gains

Maybe a point worth mentioning to them to get it higher on the priority list?

Please, explain to me how you get the Uber Launcher, it has not given me a key for UBER version, only steam. I do not know where to download the Uber Launcher either.

beta version reboots the graphic settings. turn them all to low again. and turn off shadows.
