In the most recent livestream it was mentioned that you might not do anymore hard core tech stuff as it seems to confuse people. As someone who works with computers for a living, and has been programming for many years, I found the tech stuff to be of incredible interest. The explanation of how the flow fields actually worked was fantastic in my opinion. Would it be possible to go ahead and continue to do tech related things, maybe only in the form of tech based blog posts, and just label them accordingly? Then people who are not interested or get confused by them could ignore it, but those of us who find it absolutely fascinating could see how the internals of the game work still. Note: I didn't search the forums before posting this, sorry if it was already asked. Feel free to point me towards an answer and lock the topic if that is the case.
yes this had already been discussed, I think the general consensus was in favor of the tech demos. I also enjoyed the in-depth demo's. And would love to see more. shame we can't have the streams more regularly. However I Understand that uber having to prepare for the streams is costly to the team. I bet we are seeing much more than a typical publisher would be privy to (although I could be wrong about that). If only all game companies would be so open during their development cycle.
board got spammed by people not understanding flow-fields and asking derp questions, i can understand why there's aversion to sharing stuff like this especially when it looked like they went through great pain to explain it multiple times to the live viewers
