What are the thoughts to separate matchmaking for groups and single players? Just as an example, 4+ players only getting matched up against other groups with 4+ players, and 3 or less groups getting matched against everything else. This may help with keeping matches even, with the thought that even if you're a team of all 44's against all 99's you're at least in a group of players where you work as a team and are more effective...thoughts?
Uber doesn't want to split up the community any more than they have to. And although the intention is noble, what would happen when you get oddly sized teams? Would it split the teams or would it just sit at "waiting for players" even if there are 12 people in the lobby? It would be nice to have a preference for looking games were parties are 2 or less for when you are soloing, but realistically I wouldn't hold your breath on anything that divides our already small community into smaller groups.
The best way to go, and is the way Uber is leaning towards, is private matches. The only thing missing right now is the ability to stop the timer and to switch teams.
