Greetings all! Myself and my friends are new players to MNC. We are a larger group of around 10-14 and we typically play private games with each other because that's how we roll.

We've been trying out MNC but we are a little concerned about how the balancing works and I was wondering if maybe I am missing something. After each round it seems like sometimes it moves people and other times it doesn't. I thought maybe this was happening based on skill but that doesn't seem to be the case. We are ending up with lots of games that are no fun because the teams are uneven skill-wise and we couldn't find a way to balance the teams ourselves by moving people. We've resorted to backing out to the lobby and starting a new private game to try and freshen things up but it is really frustrating.

Can anyone shed some light on exactly what is going on with the teams (does it move people based on ANY criteria) or how we might be able to self-balance more effectively or something? This game seems badass but our group is having a really sour time of it because we can't seem to get a lot of good games going.

Oh, FYI all the players are single players on their own box.

Yeah, sadly there is no way to manually switch teams in Private Matches as of yet. This is something we, the community, have all wanted since MNC's release. We can only pray and hope it'll be included in the next update/DLC.

I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for. :p

The first 5 you invite will be on one team and the other 6 will be on the other.

Maybe not but at least it is an answer. Thanks!

What MLGIntervention said gave me an idea of possibly how to set things up assuming everyone shows up to play on time and we balance that way. We shall see....

Yeah, this issue has pretty much kept me from playing MNC anymore. I quit playing for a while and when I started playing again the game seemed to never make teams that were even remotely fair. I've been trying to get some more of my friends into it, so we played an "in-house" match a month ago, but after 2 straight games of the server deciding to put all the experienced players on one team and all the noobs on the other, no one really wanted to play anymore. Autobalance would be nice, but the inability to choose teams in a private match really ruins private matches, IMO.

First 5 + host get put on the first team, second six on the other. If you need to swap people, have the people you want to swap back out, invite the one that is going to be on the host's team first then the other one.

Futtbuck, that hardly solves the problem.
