I generally don't care much for lore, I mean clashing thousands of troops worth of steel in an echoing thunderous crescendo explosion, do I really need a reason, am I right? that being said I'd love to know what to call all the new commanders we've been sneak peaked (https://forums.uberent.com/threads/high-res-images-of-all-16-commanders.59770/ and https://forums.uberent.com/threads/...te-and-2-more-hiding-in-the-game-files.60543/), what factions they are members of and what all the other factions emblems look like. I feel it would be a lot of fun if the community were to be implicated in this once again with polls and stuff like was the case for the decision of the faction names.
As far as factions go, it seems that if it has 4 legs, it's a Revenant, if it has treads it's Synhronous, if it has raptor legs it's Foundation and if it has human legs it's Legionis Machina.
That could be true, although I was playing as a theta once as LegM and it gave me 2 spiderofmean comms as buddies. That might have changed, since that was like two weeks ago.
Could be if you start with the commander commander, but I've been getting al sorts of subcommanders, including the Beast commander once. Rallus seems the be the most common In my opinion. That might just be a personal illusion.

You're definitely not the unluckiest person on the planet. My last 8 attempts with the commander commander on absurd have resulted in not being able to build factories before the first battle. Is basic tech that rare? My 9th attempt allowed me to build adv vehicles... it also provides the basic vehicle factory, that can only build fabricators and skitters. Somehow I won my first match... on a moon biome, with mass vanguards. That doesn't work if you're not able to build mobile AA, got wrecked by bombers in the second match. cheers

Found out that the Osiris commander is the faction leader of revenants. Synchonous doesn't have a specific faction leader commander model yet. All that according to this site, seems legit.
