TA/SC had the method of patrolling where by a patrol route would be designated by patrolling from the units current location, so in order to set up a triangle, you would MOVE to PointA, then PATROL to PointB and again to PointC. This would result in a patrol from A->B->C->A->...

PA with the above commands however would result in B->C->B->...

From a logical perspective the PA method seems correct I would argue, but the old method is deeply seared into my brain, and switching between TA/SC/PA as I tend to do often causes me all sorts of problems.

How do people feel about this difference, is this a wart from the old times that needs removing, or is there really a benefit to PA's approach?

It ok, just takes the brain time to relearn it.

I didn't play much TA, but the patrol controls are pretty much exactly like the controls in supcom.
