When I'm playing as a support and not going for the turret/firebase/airstrike kills but actually using my healgun to heal tanks, gunners and jackbots, I always end up last or last but one on my team. Healing them makes gunners win firefights they other wise could'nt have won and jackbots reach the moneyball, which is a very good way to help you're team win, but you dont get any money for it and you'll sometimes hear jerks saying you suck 'cause you didnt get any kills. So mayby supports should get an assist if an overhealed/getting healed bot or pro gets a kill to encourage this playstyle a bit, even if its like only 5$ or 10$. What do you guy's think about it? Or is it impossible for the game to register somthing like that?
To be honest, having a class specific assist seems a bit unfair. We already have an easy enough time picking up money through other methods such as hurt gun on the money ball and bullseye. Whilst healing up is definitely a good move (the amount of times I run past a fellow support whilst on fire and about to die and they just walk straight past) I think you need to focus a bit more on killing pro's with the shotgun, hacking turrets, firebases etc and generally mixing up the gameplay a little more. There is so many ways to play, just go with what works for you. I should also mention that not having the most money doesn't matter as long as you support your team and help them win.
While oftentimes as a support I feel like I'm not rewarded when contributing to the crazy streak my teammate is getting due to my constant healing or when I prevent our turrets from going down, remember that supports gain juice fairly quickly when healing and overhealing. The juice run and quadruple kill with the shotgun is probably reward enough.
i believe that a support healling a gunner to get a win is much more deserving than if a support can tag someone for a fraction of a second, then have a gunner mow that person down for one.
