At first i thought it was lag, but it's been happening 9 out of 10 matches for me, and it never happened before. But when i first start the match, i'm able to throw down my firebase, but can't hack it, in fact i can't hack any turret until i die. After i get that first death it seems to fix itself, its been happening a lot, wondering if it's happening to anyone else?
I've seen this a couple of times. It is even worse when your firebase "eats" your hack. You have to wait for you hack skill to recharge and your firebase still isn't hacked.
I've experienced this problem with many classes. My assassin wont lunge, can't smoke bomb. My gunner can't slam, and my support can't hack. Definitively one of the more irritating glitches.
Yeah, I've had this too.. not just hack -- sometimes it's my Y ability -- can't throw down my firebase at all. With regards to your firebase "eating" your hack. I have a couple of suggestions for how to avoid this. First -- you know how you throw down your firebase and it does a little animation and kind of bounces around before it finally pops open and gets fully set up? If you're hacking it during this time period it's very important that you make sure it is actually moving around and doing its normal animation. Sometimes it will be glitched at this point and not actually moving around at all, just sitting completely still (because you were looking too far downward when you threw it out, so it's partially through the floor or something to that effect). If you hack it while it's glitched like this, the hack will not take yet you'll use your X ability. It will still spring open after the normal short time period and then you can hack it without issue. Second -- don't try to hack anything when standing far away from it *and* looking away from it. You can look away from a turret/firebase while hacking it (use this to protect your back when possible). Also, you don't have to be right up against something to hack it -- you can stand a few feet away and inch up until your X indicator lights up, thereby being out of harms way while hacking in some situations. The problem I've found is when you try to do both things at once -- many times you'll be charged with the X ability, but the hack will not actually take. Obey these rules and you'll hardly ever have something "eat" your hack.
I've had each of the abilities not work at one time or another. Last night I was in a game that I couldn't use the right stick for anything until I died, then it worked again. I haven't had it happen over and over though - I know it's a pain but have you tried deleting and re-downloading the game? I dunno how it works but maybe you have a corrupted DL or something..?
This happens if you move the left stick at all when hacking. I noticed it after I held down left after starting to hack, and my support started to slide around the firebase. Since then, I have made sure not to touch the left stick at all while hacking, and it hasn't eaten my hack once since then.
This has happened to me a few times. Always at the beginning of a match. Nothing works, not even the firebase. When I spawn and can't shoot, I just jump off the edge. Respawning fixes it. Sucks, but it gets me back in the fight.
