Hi there you may have seen me on9 before.. I usually main assault reaching 4 stars at a point but now I'm playing support and have been loving the class although my star rating has plummeted :(

I usually keep juices more for survivability if clutch passive has been used.. but I do use it for denying juiced pros from killing the turret farm.. I find most juiced pros easy to deal with the exception of the tank with his insanely high dps of jetgun.. airstrikes dont always work (maybe I'm just bad at placement) and when the tank gets close it's like my juice doesn't matter..

Does any better supports have any tips for dealing with juiced tanks? I've tried shotgunning him but it takes a couple to down a tank and if I grapple he'll charge + death blossom = QQ :(

I've not tried it yet but is H/H + spacing + airstrikes seem to be the way to go? Is that what you use?

P.S. Juiced assaults are a bitch also.. I just usually run away :( any tps on this too are welcome

I've done up till now was distance myself from my FB. Make the tank need to choose his target. If he chooses you and misses before he's in grapple range, grapple him. Your FB will plow into him, you'll get a free shotgun shot into his face after the grapple resolves, and if you are really really lucky, the juice will wear off.

If you are the suicidal type air striking yourself works rather well also, especially if you can land a grapple. Heck airstriking your FB can accomplish the same goal without the death sometimes, but the lack of grapple means it's usually a deterrent not a kill tool.

Hmm so try and bait the charge then close in for the grapple whilst letting ur firebase do the damage eh? seems like an amazing idea actually :D Might actually throw an airstrike in between me and the firebase just to seal the deal :)

also another question bout the grapple it knock's your opponent and turns him backwards do you get a free shotgun shot then? because I've been grappled by an assassin right after even after I tried jumping and shooting right after.. might have mistimed it on my end though

oh and another support question what is the field of vision of the firebase? i know its not 360 is it something like 270? or is it 360? i could be mistaken :S

It's 360. And support grapple doesn't turn them around(sniper unupgraded skill grapple does), but they are at the center of your vision and primed for a facefull of buckshot. Actual timing can vary due to latency issues, but you can usually get a solid shot off before dying.

If you're feeling lucky you can spam the airstrike button instead for a ground zero, but this guarantees your death(not always bad when a juiced player is involved).

I've always found that 2 airstrikes and a grapple will do in a juiced tank, since they can survive one airstrike.

Tanks? If you can't reliably hit them with the shotgun (which usually does fine damage for me), then the hhgun chasing does sound damn good. You run faster than mr. tank for sure.

A lucky airstrike does good too.

That is what I would do, and the same with assaults (also, trick assaults to chase you around corners, that works wonders as a support with shotgun and as a tank).

ONE MORE THING: Do you play turtle support? Hate to discourage, but you can prevent juice easier than you can stop it. If you set your firebase up to cover a little of the bot lane and field, and you follow teammates to heal and hold enemies off the map, then they shouldn't get juice in the first place. You still are very safe doing this, having a teammate and all, and will get juice yourself to pillage the enemy base with (using your hhgun juiced on turrets, hopefully with gold rate). And you can also build and hack and care for turrets, but not CONSTANTLY, and you can heal and push bots and pros.

Just a fundamental thing is all. In a no-juice server, please enjoy turtling, you WILL get away with it :p I love it sometimes (when I join a server without looking first).

thanks will try :) i've been raged by the enemy team before for staying back and only moving out when I have juice on funland when we have the middle to which I answered... I'm a support damnit (think I had zero deaths)... but I do try and heal and overheal as many people as possible but as the game goes on with mortars and bullets flying everywhere i get a bit more conservative.. but at the time my question was with steel peel in mind when you're bottled in.. but yeah I do agree that i would probably benefit my team more if i move out a bit more.. I think I'm a bi too defensive on that map.. even when i play tank on steel peel if they have firebases set up out side i try and build juice then move out.. all the while railguning + product grenading the bots

Generally a good support can win the game.

It is a lot harder to kill an enemy who is overhealed, and if you have your firebase set up somewhere mid field and the other team doesn't have communication/support to airstrike it, it's pretty much GG.
