I made a topic on this last night but I'm not seeing it anywhere. I'm thinking I forgot to hit "Submit". Here goes: 1. When you hack into one of your teams turrets do you get the credit for player and bot kills and the money that comes with it? 2. If you hack one of your teams turrets and another support on your team comes in and hacks it after you...do you share the kills/money or does their hack override yours? 3. How can you tell what turrets are ones you've hacked and which aren't?
I can answer this one. The turrets you've hacked will have a ".2" or ".3" after their number, depending on how high your hacking skill is. For example, if you are level 3 hacking, and hack a level 2 laser turret, it will say "2.3" on it.
That doesn't make any sense tho. What if someone comes in after me with the same level hacking skill? I wouldn't know the difference. Turret hacking seems to be the biggest secret in this game. How does it work? I need answers!
I run so many hacks in my games that I'm not 100% sure on all this, but I tried to test these out in a couple Crossfire matches. First, whenever a turret is upgraded, it's control changes to the last person who upgraded. Hacking the turret counts as an upgrade. However, I'm not 100% sure what upgrading after someone else's hack will do, but I assume that the last-person-to-upgrade rule still comes into effect. As for Firebases, if you hack your teammate's Firebase, they'll still get credit for kills, and you'll get credit for assists. If you're trying to tell the difference between a turret you hacked and the turret someone else hacked, and you're both at the same level of hack, all I can say is that there's currently no way to tell. You'll just have to keep in mind when you hacked it and look at how much time is left to figure if someone else came and refreshed the hack.
You dont have to worry about other people overriding your hacks. Hacks to not give the hacker the cash or kills the turrets may receive. Whoever built the turret or upgraded it last will receive the credit for all the damage that turret dishes out.
you can overwrite hacks, even if your hacking skill is lower than the hack currently on it. I've run into this problem a few times now. You can't specifically tell if its YOUR hack on there. And yes, hacks DO give you credit, you get assists if no one else attacked it, and some money from bots.
Pay close attention to the numbers on the turret. X.Y X = level of that turret Y = hack level of that turret You will notice that the numbers slow "unfill" when the turret is hacked. This is the timer bar for when the hack buff will expire. If a turret is rehacked it will reset the timer bar.
