My friend and I have been using a fairly successful tactic with dual supports. Basically we set up turrets outside the base, wait for everyone to leave and one of us goes in and hacks a missile turret while the other heals. So far this seems to really mess up any plans the other team has and ensures a quick victory. Cheap? Maybe but it's pretty fun
Cheap indeed. How is ensuring a victory fun? I'd rather do something epic that turns the tide. Lame if you ask me. Well, it is what it is.
Well if people actually coordinate enough, it's pretty easy to counteract. The big problem is that most teams really aren't.
I hope within the next two weeks, that the people who Rush the moneyball will stop doing that...it can really mess up the whole match.
It's really the losing team's fault for leaving their money ball completely undefended. I watch players walk right past the people killing their base. Support isn't exactly the greatest combat class, 1-2 people paying attention can easily stop this.
i dislike that tactic and i see it alot. but 1 sniper tends to fix all those problems from afar. add an assassin into that mix so the smokebomb attack stuns the turret you want to steal, and it makes it much easier.
very good tactic actually, very stoppable with just two supports, but a very good tactic nonetheless. My friend Stanley usually plays support and by midgame after a strong enough push he hacks a rocket turret and we usually finish the game in no time. If a team of six players can't manage to stop two supports from hacking a turret, then they're doing something wrong.
Don't whine about rushes! This is a tower defense game at its core.. Starcraft, Heroes of Newearth, League of Legends, heck even Command and Conquer... all have Rushing in them, it is a strategy that should teach you quickly to PAY ATTENTION! As many stated here, it takes very little to stop this strategy.. but you have to stop it otherwise.. easy win for your opponent is all I can say. Good luck!
I personally don't like when games end too soon, I usually have the most fun when it goes into overtime. However this plan can easily be countered its just that most people or teams don't do it haha. Teamwork is key!!! Then again I like overtime cause juiced support with shotgun and 3 airstrikes can pretty much take the money ball down ~1/3 in hp. Ive done that a bunch of times, went from losing the entire game to winning during overtime like that *snaps*
Absolutly no one should say this is cheap. If you are dumb enough to leave no defense at your base you deserve to get a quick loss. And really with just one sniper or assassin or gunner or assault or tank this is easily defendable.(see what i did there)
I tried this once, but they had built turrets and had their own support defending their base and it didn't work. We won anyway because we didn't feel like losing, and tried it again the next game. Won in 1:27 by hacking both of their missile turrets at the start.
Yerp, I have encountered this and it is very very cheap... and annoying... What you don't realise is that these little supporty, moustache wearing, wisdom giving little fuckers build firebases right outside your base, just outside the reach of you turrets so whenever you try to kill them they rush on back to them... They can last the whole game just sitting there occasionally attempting a hack and as nobody on my team wants to help me kill them they stay there and win the game... Very cheap but that's probably due to lack of teamwork on my teams behalf.
Support rush are hilarious if the other team cant stop it. Me and my friends like to do ghostbusters where we only use the heal/hurt gun, airstrikes, and melee's which is just funny watching a bunch of red and blue lines going everywhere.
Remember you can change weapons while being grappled. Helps when you need to pull out your shotty to blast that silly assassing who tried to stab through your gold armor.
