Hey guys, I was only wondering about a silly question, searched a bit but couldn't find any answer. Do the rate of fire perk make the support's healgun heal faster ? Since supports don't usually use their shotgun to frag, it could be a good perk for support if it could heal faster.
Why would you not use your shotgun to kill, since its only 2 shots on most pros? //btw that question is answered in every support guide ive seen so far.
Ha. Hahahahahah. If only you saw my Assassin killcount purely from playing Support.. Yes@question. It's advised to be your Gold.
Tier 3 airstrike is rediculous with gold recharge.. I don't wanna hijack a thread, but I dont wanna start another either.. anyone know if accuracy increases the range shotgun hits at?
Accuracy (based on my limited understanding of the files) effect the spread of a gun, which is a different variable than the shotgun (so called cone spread). It doesn't extend the range either.
I mostly use rate of fire, it helps shotgun quite a bit.. the rest are MEH, since reload only effects shotgun and you seldom need it in a fight, and acc apparently does nothing.. clipsize = same reason reload isnt needed or even useful.. It would be nice if they had a range modifier as an endorsement. EDIT: Didnt know thi sbefore but Alt+S posts a topic lol, just like outlook
Indeed, Rate of Fire is the only "gun based" endorsement you would ever need as support, and it's a highly recommended one to take as it helps both your HH gun and shotgun insanely. As others have said, the two other really good endorsements would be Armor and Skill Regen. So like others my favorite all-around build is Gold RoF, Silver Armor, Bronze Skill Regen. A secondary build that swaps the Skill Regen and RoF is great for situations where you want to spam airstrikes and have faster hack recharge. Clip Size, Critical Shot, Reload Speed, Juice, and Weapon Accuracy are pretty much useless for Support. Health Recovery and Speed aren't exactly useless, but generally speaking they are not nearly as good as Armor/RoF/Skill Regen. Advice to ALL supports: Get good with the shotty. Run with your shotty out at all times, only switching to the HH gun when healing something, then back to shotty. You will be surprised how many pros you can take out in close range with it. The Hurt portion of the HH gun is useful for the following: 1. Taking out turrets while juiced. They suck down anything that's not a level 3 RockIt or Shaveice pretty quickly (for a Support). You can even solo a level 3 RockIt while juiced, but it will take the entire juice to do so and only if you're not interrupted by other pros. 2. Killing lower-health classes while juiced. Yes the shotty is INSANE when juiced as well, but I often prefer the Hurt gun against Assassins, Assaults, and Snipers as they go down super quickly with it, and they're fast classes so you don't have to worry about missing with your shotty. Also you can kinda kite them rather than trying to get up too close with your shotty where they can grapple/charge toss you. Lastly, juicing and running into the enemy base is usually a pretty chaotic situation, which can make landing shotty hits even harder, so just leeching the person to death in a second or two can be a better alternative. 3. When not juiced, it can be great for saving your skin in clutch situations. If you've bit off more than you can chew, using it on a pro or more often some enemy bots as you run away can save your life. /rant (kinda trailed off into general Support tips there but hey why not)
Gold RoF, Silver Armor, Bronze Skill Regen This is what every good support uses. BUT if you wanna play more defensively you can switch some of that around...but you still want those 3 endorsements. If I feel im gonna be purely defensive on a map instead of my normal support build i might switch armor and skill regens ranks, but thats about it.
I don't know guys, with the exception of the increased speed on the heal/hurt gun, i'm not that awestruck about the RoF endorsement. Any proper player will jump around and switch direction constantly when close to a support, so auto-shooting your shotgun won't do you any good. You need to time your shots, making the RoF endorsement somewhat lackluster since the base fire speed is high enough for this - this is solely my personal oppinion. Skill Regen on the other hand, lets you keep an intire base hacked @ tier3 hack, which can save your team from a loss. Not to mention the option to actually use your Firebase as a distraction during combat, rather than a placed turret. And ofcourse; Bomb spam. I think the only thing i'd miss from not using the RoF as gold, would be the shotgun spam on enemy turrets when juiced + the slower heals on team members.
My Support build is gold RoF, silver Armor, and bronze Skill Recovery. The gold Rof is almost a necessity to use the H/H gun effectively, and it's effect on the Shotgun doesn't hurt either. Silver armor because without Passive 3, the Support does not have much health at all. Bronze Skill just because it is one of the most useful skills at Bronze. Also helps Airstrikes out. From what I've seen: ~ RoF/Armor/Skill - By far the most prevalent build, and one of the most effective for an all-around Support. ~ RoF/Speed/Armor or RoF/Armor/Speed - What I typically see for a shotgunning Supports. ~ Skill/RoF/Armor or Skill/Armor/RoF - Most useful for either a Support who plans on turtling (due to the faster regen time of the hack) or a Support who plans on spamming Airstrikes. ~ Juice/RoF/Armor - What I use for funzies when I want H/H kills and nothing else. ~ Armor/RoF/Speed - I have only seen this build used to combat a large number of Assassins. It's not bad, but I don't see the benefit to it. ~ Crit/RoF/Armor or Crit/RoF/Speed - Apparently Crit works very well on the H/H gun, but I have yet to test this myself. Notice that every single build has RoF. I find it necessary to be able to use the H/H gun effectively.
RoF is most useful for healing, especially your firebase when its under assault. Having said that though skill regen is my gold.
