It would be useful for units that are stuck or on incorrect terrain to be destroyed, be it coloring a type of pathing "black" and if a unit is in black pathing area they are destroyed, or other trigger representing "being stuck".

This would help if naval were allowed to teleport, knowing any units put in wrong terrain gets destroyed, and would help in future if unit cannon is ever added or even orbital factories for terrestial units.

would also help for future pushing units into lava when lava gets a second pass.

    Fantastic picture.

And huh...... Imagine a unit designed to wade through lava? Like slowly, or possibly a hover, but yeah.

Levellers have big butts right? I can't deny, but they might make cool lava swimmers.

    **squints at you very bitterly**

no! drowning for everyone! these are pools of magma, this isn't a top layer of goop then a solid layer underneath.

If anything it's the opposite, a thin layer of solid, and a underneath lake of liquidized rock.

The same way you wade through water?

    Very poorly.

    But yeah, just a thought.

Hovercraft would be a cool thing, give tanks a kinda raider, or anti-dox thing, but sucks at actually killing stuff that isn't make of dox.
