If I'm going to start using keyboard shortcuts to start building things, methinks it would be much more...er... ergonomic... if I wasn't also trying to keep the Shift key held down. Perhaps by pressing the shift key once, I could then queue up my fabricators' orders / move orders. Pressing the shift key again would return the user to the issuing of commands / blowing up of planets / etc This would also eliminate the "Oh Sh--" moments that can inevitably proceed an elaborate series of fab-commands after realizing you killed your queue by releasing and pressing again the shift key... Am I alone in this? Or do I just have super klutzy fingers? :? Or perhaps an even more elegant solution would be: the shift key is left as it is, if a player hits the Caps Lock, then it locks in the Shift-queuing ability?
Put shift on an extra thumbs key on the mouse. It's awesome. We had this topic a number of times, though.
NOoo! -- After all the lurking I do, this is highly disappointing :? Thanks for the tip! I still like my solution better -- means I wouldn't need a new mouse
