I'm sorry, if this was already suggested, but can we get numbers labeled on the starting locations? This would help a lot for team battles when we select which spot we want to start. Thanks, Zaits
Original suggest is original, and good. This would be nice, either numbers or letters of the Greek alphabet, for that extra military feel.
+1 Greek It would also be nice if there was some sort of coordinate system/grid, to communicate locations of things in general.
Hi  I did some quick digging, it doesn't look like they've exposed the things we would need to implement something like this yet. I've got a busy Friday night ahead of me, but first thing tomorrow morning I'll see if there isn't something I missed. (Don't get your hopes up) Annihilation Protip: If you haven't checked out the PA Mod Developers Forum since 51118, you should! You're missing out on some handy stuff
love it! this would save so much time and i wouldnt spend 2 minutes doing "its under the mountain next to sea with a little bit of sand on it" with my team lol
This would be excellent and save the whole "I'm going for the one between the two lakes." "The one with a crack next to it?" "No, the one with a plateau thingy." "Wait, with a plateau and next to two lakes?" "Yeah, the two big lakes." "Oh. The one in the North?" "Yeah." "That one looks rubbish - why start there?"
I'm actually sure my planet was on a different orientation than my team mates on my last game.. "Go north, right or left." "I only have North, up or down" "Meh screw it ill go the bottom one" "Who is alone down there?" "Me!"
Just allowing players to reselect their positions before pressing 'ready' would be an easy fix and avoid marking the starting positions themselves. You all click on a spot and then chat amongst yourselves as to who needs to move near which player.
You can reselect your position before you press "Start Annihilation". I'm not sure what you mean. It can still take long enough to describe where you are and where you want others to go that the timer can run out before you have all made a decision. That's why we want names for the starting positions. A couple of other improvements would be: If you have selected a drop point but not pressed "Start Annihilation" when the timer runs out, you should land at the point you selected. You should be able to see color coded rings where other players have selected their drop points. Perhaps one of these is what you were trying to suggest?
I really like this idea, it would help with orienting yourself around the planet also, making full use of the sphere much easier, as well as assisting with communication.
