Just asking to see if a separate forum section just for the technical aspect of PA is possible or wanted.

I think it would take allow a bit of a divide between "gameplay" discussion of PA, and "tech" discussions, which would hopefully clear up which fits into which (a worry of neutrinos it seems from the last stream), and you can announce tech streams or gameplay streams in their respective forums so only people who are interested need to worry about it.

Also, it'd make a central hub for discussion of PA modding capabilities - many aspects of moddability have been mentioned in this forum section about, for example, having the in-game UI work like a web browser to be able to easily expand it and script with it, and although this info is very revealing and interesting for potential modders to see and learn from, it's also resulted in cries of anguish as some people think seeing the UI requires an internet connection!

Anyways, just putting this here, and I think it'd be useful and allow some more talk about the internals of the game without worry of it being taken the wrong way. Post below to give your opinion! :D

Well the Backer Lounge was supposed to be for the guys at Uber to share things with Backers only.....and well we can see how that turned out, it might as well be "General Discussion: The Sequel"

Until there is a need for it, I don't see things branching off, things like Alpha, Beta and near/after release we'll need Subforums for Mods, tournaments, training/guides ect ect.

Well, I do think that the backers - only stuff was contained pretty well there, and in general the forum has less trolls and people coming in and asking dumb questions, due to needing to have bought the game.

I think that a modding sub-forum should be created when a build that has modding support is released, whether that's during the alpha/beta or at RTM.

At the moment, it's simply too early.

The issue isn't that Backer Only stuff wasn't contained, it was. Fact is that at least 80% of the threads in the Backer Lounge should have been posted in this subforum, there are plenty of examples of 'troll' and dumb questions and even just threads that are actually useless or are reposts of threads and/or comments found in this subforum.

I'm not a modder, so I'm not sure what kind of say I should have in this.
But what a modder sub-forum would do is allow the modders to all come together and collectively say "this is what we would like to mod with".
And how they want to take it from there.
And bounce ideas off each other.

There's been enough of us modders saying what we'd like to be able to do to PA (that sounded a little kinky).

We don't need a forum for it until the alpha when we can get our hands on it and tinker. If/when we find something we want to do, but not capable of doing; we'll see what Uber has to say about fixing it (because you have to remember, just because the community doesn't know how to do something, doesn't mean a change in the engine is required).
