Should a pause allow a person to give commands to units during it? Basically, the UI stays put, the simulation is paused, orders can still be sent and are all issued instantly upon unpause. Good for learning games, newbies playing singleplayer, and just tweaking queues if someone pauses for bathroom in multiplayer. Idea obtained from playing much "Faster Than Light".
Yes it's should work as it's now. My reasoning here is simple: there should not be any anti-cheat limits on client side. E.g even if server won't accept commands while sim paused it's likely will be fairly easy to implement "hack" that send bulk commands once sim unpaused, or just slowly send pre-defined commands in background to avoid "too high APM". I think that gentlemen rules and replays work a lot better than something that can't be enforced by server-side.
I'd like to be able to do this, to set up elaborate scenarios. Where's the pasue button/key/command thing?
