I think it would be handy if we could name the hosted game instead of the system name showing op in the main lobby. You could say like: no noobs, 3vs3, no nukes etc. Now you have to name your system the way you want the game to be named. Thats not handy!

I'm sure it will be possible to custom name your hosted games later on but I like to see a simple option like this rather sooner than later.

Why use a mod for this if it is so simple for Uber to implement? I rather don't use mods especially in this stage of the game. But thanks anyway

Those types of things, i think are more for polishing the game, I dont see the need for them urgently. Right now we have many other bugs, and balance issues to worry about. Plus mods are so easy to install with PAMM, its not really even an issue :). Also before i had the renaming mod, I would make a systems dedicated to noobs only or pros only and name it accordingly ;). Although I must also say it probably would take Uber a sec to jump that in the next build.

All that mod really does is change the name of the system in one place in the code. It would be very simple for Uber to give us this, and I would like to see it in the game too. The mod only took a few minutes to make.

I think this can already be done. I saw a "no lag" game in the lobby today.

I use mods extensively. We're talking about mechanics that should be in the game already here. Something like this shouldn't require the community to implement it. I'm not trying to grill Uber, the game isn't finished yet of course, but that's just a fact.

well be patient, it's only a matter of time until Uber snags the code from that mod.

That's kind of funny, since lag in PA doesn't even hurt other players like it did in SupCom. My guess is the host had some lag, blamed everyone else, and started a new game with the No Lag name.

True. Especially since the "hosting player" doesn't matter. All the games are hosted on Uber's servers (USCentral, EUWest or Australia).
