In midgame and lategame, we often put factories in different places of the planet and sometimes on different planets. We can't remember to give orders to all factories while they are still building far away and we finish with a pack of several idle factories. My suggestion to fix this is to let players select queued up factories (in ghost mode) and give them unit production orders. This way, we can build, for example, 10 factories in one place, give unit production orders and a waypoint so they would start building as soon as each of them is finished. Thoughts?
Yeah why not. Personally I would prefer to build a factory that was pre-queued up. E.g. when I build land factories I want them to already have 500 tanks queued up (Since this is what I do every time anyway). Also try using CTRL+F2 to select idle factories is a useful tool.
