Have a small suggestion for smooth camera control. Use Google SketchUp a lot and i like the camera controls and think something of the likes would fit well in this game. something like. scroll for zoom. "already in game" L-ctrl + click scroll turns cam. L-alt + click scroll pans cam. Just a thought.
this is in more or less, if you go into freecam mode, holding down a key sufficiently long stickies it.
