Don't know why but it has suddenly started freezing during play, drivers have not changed they are up to date.... game just freezes randomly every few minutes during play for about 5 seconds.... sometimes it will freeze for longer and just kick me out and disconnect. When the game freezes I still have UI control... can navigate the planet etc. Just the animations stop.
It's called bandwidth throttling. Problem of internet connection limitations on your side or on server side.
I have the same problem, I know my internet connection isn't stable.. And it's something I will not be able to fix sometime soon. So I always play versus AI. But I still have the problem. Isn't there a way to not play on their servers, but just.. completely offline? I'm sure that'll fix it for me atleast.. I tend to never play these kind of games online against other players anyway.
No, no offline play untill release. When the game is released you will have offline, LAN and online play modes
It kinda does suck we have to wait untill release for offline mode, but it stops piracy. I play on australian pre-paid 3G internet so i have similar issues and the cost of extended play for me is huge. But it'll be worth the wait, i just jump into an AI game set him to 0 economy and build all the units i want to look at then quit lets me see how things are progressing. I spend the rest of my time assisting people and making performance mods/fixes for the game, it helps keep me occupied untill release _edited_ fixed my touchscreen typo's
I also have short freezes ( 1 sec long) approx every 5 sec. I have a good internet connection (15mb). Never had this issue before.
Hmm not sure, Are you able to post your DxDiag.txt for me, i will have a look to see if i can troubleshoot any thing that maybe causing the issue for you
@snierke Your video card driver is out of date Install the r331.82 gaming drivers, that should improve performance lots http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/70184/en-us Let me know it it fixes your issue
it doesn't always supply the most upto date drivers , just the most stable or something, Your DxDiag says the driver your using is from june, the r331.82 drivers are only 2 weeks old.
Here's your DxDiag it states this Code: Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce GTX 670 DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1189&SUBSYS_35421458&REV_A1 Display Memory: 4042 MB Dedicated Memory: 1994 MB Shared Memory: 2048 MB Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor Monitor Model: SyncMaster Monitor Id: SAM0194 Native Mode: 1280 x 1024(p) (60.020Hz) Output Type: DVI Driver Name: nvd3dumx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Driver File Version: 9.18.0013.2049 (English) Driver Version: 9.18.13.2049 DDI Version: 11 Driver Model: WDDM 1.1 Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 6/21/2013 13:06:36, 15144928 bytes <--- your driver is outdated!
Ok, updated now, But experiencing the same issues. Maybe it is the internet provider or something. I have never had this issue in older builds. EDIT: Problem solved. Internett provider issues I guess.
