It seems the AI isn't trained to do an orbital start. Unless you have additional factory tech, the sub commander will build one mex and then sit idle..... I found the following in the bug tracker: PA#4393 PA#3562 PA#3508
Extract the attached into \media\pa\ai\fabber_builds\ That should fix it I think. When Uber fix this you'll want to delete this file.
It doesn't fix it completely. Instead of just building one mex it builds a mex and an orbital radar. After that, it will build an occasional mex. No power and no orbital factory...... It should build the orbital factory before the orbital radar so that it can get some orbital construction units going. PS: since what patch did rocket bots become able to hit orbital units?
OMG, Thankyou! Have My Bab.... aaaaaaaa ummmmmm Ya, about that....... This version is crashing the server. "connection to server lost" Where are the GW games saved so I can post mine for you to test with? But thank you for trying.
Bad me for not checking my own work properly. This one won't crash the server at least. I don't know where the saves are kept.
Thank you, it is now slightly less broken, but still broken. AI built one mex and then when it was forced to run it finally built an orbital factory, but no fabbers from the factory.
Sounds like it'd likely need a more substantial overhaul of the AI then. I'd need a save to test on to correct the issue.
They live here (but only if you use the local server instead of Uber's servers, I think): Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation (just press <WinKey>+E and paste the above path in the address bar) OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation Linux: ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation
All I see are a few files that look like server logs. (the first few lines look like a date time stamp) Are these what I need?
No, they're file that end in .json and .gz. (Unless you have hidden extensions). I'm guessing you are using Uber's servers to play then, which means the save games will have been stored on-line. You can try forcing the local server to "On" in settings -> server, and try creating a save game then.
I have been playing offline single player. This is what I have: ***\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation 07/01/2015 08:52 PM <DIR> . 07/01/2015 08:52 PM <DIR> .. 06/29/2015 12:41 AM <DIR> localstore 07/02/2015 07:55 AM <DIR> log 06/26/2015 08:00 AM <DIR> mods 08/03/2014 10:09 AM <DIR> pamm 06/26/2015 08:00 AM <DIR> pamm_cache 10/13/2014 08:20 AM <DIR> PerfLogs 06/28/2015 08:36 AM 1,377,181 server-2015-06-28_082251.txt 06/28/2015 08:44 AM 1,370,670 server-2015-06-28_083706.txt 06/28/2015 08:55 AM 1,373,173 server-2015-06-28_084504.txt 06/29/2015 12:31 AM 1,385,063 server-2015-06-29_002658.txt 06/29/2015 12:55 AM 1,390,758 server-2015-06-29_004333.txt 06/29/2015 01:08 AM 1,380,790 server-2015-06-29_005655.txt 06/30/2015 01:23 PM 1,367,878 server-2015-06-30_131103.txt 06/30/2015 01:44 PM 1,350,012 server-2015-06-30_132434.txt 06/30/2015 01:56 PM 1,356,362 server-2015-06-30_134550.txt 06/30/2015 03:07 PM 1,286,842 server-2015-06-30_140722.txt 06/30/2015 03:46 PM 1,284,721 server-2015-06-30_150921.txt 06/30/2015 04:04 PM 1,120,315 server-2015-06-30_154849.txt 06/30/2015 04:08 PM 1,117,174 server-2015-06-30_160456.txt 07/01/2015 03:46 AM 504,641 server-2015-07-01_022645.txt 07/01/2015 09:57 AM 1,350,711 server-2015-07-01_095706.txt 07/01/2015 09:58 AM 1,350,708 server-2015-07-01_095816.txt 07/01/2015 09:59 AM 1,350,709 server-2015-07-01_095917.txt 07/01/2015 10:00 AM 934,696 server-2015-07-01_100003.txt 07/01/2015 10:00 AM 1,350,711 server-2015-07-01_100024.txt 07/01/2015 10:02 AM 1,350,712 server-2015-07-01_100151.txt 07/01/2015 11:44 AM 1,375,923 server-2015-07-01_112951.txt 07/01/2015 12:02 PM 1,390,914 server-2015-07-01_114512.txt 07/01/2015 08:23 PM 70,459 server-2015-07-01_202207.txt 07/01/2015 08:51 PM 681,996 server-2015-07-01_202746.txt 07/01/2015 09:40 PM 621,977 server-2015-07-01_205232.txt 06/26/2015 08:00 AM <DIR> server_mods 11/05/2014 07:29 PM 276 WindowSettings.cfg 07/04/2014 08:38 AM 276 WindowSettings.cfg.migrated 07/02/2015 07:56 AM 87 window_settings.json 28 File(s) 29,495,735 bytes 9 Dir(s) 157,237,297,152 bytes free
Oh, I think I understand now. You don't see any, because you saved between battles. A proper save game will be created if you start a battle in the Galactic War and save from there. That is, save when you are actually in a game against the AI commander. Then you should see something like this: Code: total 34740 -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 25245191 Apr 30 21:51 Absuerd 2.par.gz -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 1608 Apr 30 21:51 Absuerd 2.par.info.json -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 5730678 Apr 30 21:43 Absurd AI fight.par.gz -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 1599 Apr 30 21:43 Absurd AI fight.par.info.json -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 1847580 Jun 16 09:12 GWSave93024.par.gz -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 14755 Jun 16 09:12 GWSave93024.par.info.json drwx------ 6 username username 4096 Sep 9 2014 localstore drwxr-xr-x 2 username username 4096 Jun 25 15:53 log drwxr-xr-x 23 username username 4096 Jun 23 14:42 mods drwxrwxr-x 2 username username 4096 Jun 23 14:42 pamm_cache -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 1431177 Jun 22 16:18 server-2015-06-22_161348.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 username username 1257168 Jun 23 09:17 server-2015-06-23_085654.txt drwxrwxr-x 3 username username 4096 Jun 21 10:10 server_mods -rw-r--r-- 1 username username 86 Jun 25 15:54 window_settings.json The file starting GWSave is what you want.
Not entirely sure to be honest. It's somewhere in the databases located in the localstore directory. They're just sql databases, so you can easily browse their content. I'm just not sure where in those databases they are as I haven't looked.
