Stupid Question: Fire at Ground?

I jsut wanted to test some units, so i tried to order them to fire at an empty spot at the ground...
but instead of shooting they moved to that position.
So...a stupid question...is there a way to give my units the order to fire at the ground?
For examply an artillery barrage at a specific location?

Nope... It used to be in but they took it out for some reason, stationary defenses will fire at the ground if told to do so though.

That would've made me lose a match slightly less badly up

SXX should've sniped a Comm. Oh well! I think it should be in... It used to be if I'm not mistaken.

so stationary artillery can do that, but not the mobile?
hope they bring that feature back in, atleast for artillery units :s

Uber said they'd be adding it, I'm really quite persuaded, can't encounter the spot where I saw that... damn
