In a game I just did, one of the players got some sysxic lasers to a planet with another player's halleys. before the planet got too far, the Halleys were destroyed and the planet fell into a low solar orbit. from then on, any units sent to the planet became stuck in orbit of the sun. so yeah, bug report
There is a minimum orbit radius around the sun, I'm guessing the planet is orbiting inside that, hence why everything is getting stuck.....
This is actually a really annoying bug. I've seen it happen multiple times. @mkrater you should defs check this out, it ruins orbital plays
Any info to help repro the case is helpful. I'll see if we can repro this one in-house. Did you continue to try and send units to this planet, but instead they orbited around the sun?
Yes, multiple sends, all stuck in sun orbit. Including Avengers and Unit Cannon. When the halleys were rebuilt and the planet launched again, the stuck units were released from their solar orbit.
Commander placed in astraeus, launched to planet B. While in commander is in transit, planet B was launched using a halley. Just before the halley was launched a nuke was launched at the almost complete halley. Result: Halley ignited and was then destroyed by the nuke. Planet B was launched into low solar orbit. Commander never reached planet B and got stuck in low solar orbit without a planet. Other team was unable to hit the stuck commander who could not be targeted with avengers or nukes. Game stalemate.
