Has there been any new information on the "strategic view" that we got to drool over in the kickstarter video?

I understand this is just the original concept, but I think that the original concept of PA makes minimap redundant if we could get a view like this that identifies your bases with single markers/icons and the known enemy bases when you zoom out.

Would also love to be able to just drag a huge box over a planet, selecting all units (maybe deselect the naval vessels or whatever), creating a control group and just right clicking on the enemy base icon for a attack move to that location. This would make for cordinating simultanous assaults/defend over several planets quick and simple without having to zoom in and out on every planet in order to make quick decisions.

Haven't heard anything about this view on the recent livestreams only talk about minimaps. Anyway I'm loving the alpha so far.

Uber is as of the moment focusing hard on multiplanet and orbital. This is closely related to both of those things, and so we might see it once they're finished with that.

Uber has stated before that they are essentially trying to make a game around the Kickstarter video, they're trying to match the art style of the planet, as well as provide similar gameplay to what was featured in the video.
