I have not had time to play, but now I've found some time. What is killing me is how strategic icons works. It's not about how they are designed (but they should be more sharp), but its about distance at which they are hidden or shown. 1. First screen show situation when camera is a litle away from planet. We dont see witch units are ours and witch units are enemies. Secound shown situation when we are already in "celestial view" but planet is still big, we see some units there but we don't know what is going on. 2. Next thing is that icons are all with white borders. They don't show which units are now selected. This is well done in SupCom, where icons have black borders, but when we select them, border changes to white. 3. There are no icons for enemy scouted buildings if they are outside our units view. 4. In "strategic view" there are no info about how far radars "see" and there are no attack ranges for selected units. 5. I think that fog of war should be a little more black. For now it's unreadable. 6. Map details (trees, rocks) are more sharp than Fogofwar, icons, and any other more important things on screen (image 1)
wow ozone! welcome back!!!! thanks for imputing this, your bring up some valid points. Might I suggest you repost this in @Culverin 's UI suggestion thread this way we add (some really good!!) eggs to our basket. also, when you left your icons to be taken charge of by someone I continued the work and came up with the attached. hope you like, personally I can't play without it.
