i purchased it and was flung to my death, I was a support if that matters. You know as a support I have been dying for no reason a lot after buying jump pads on steel peel.

    He's obviously ribbing you.

I've heard of several people having this problem, but I can honestly say I've never had a jump pad take me someplace it wasn't supposed to.

I think Uber has yet to address this issue. It was not in the title update. Hopefully they are aware though, and will be included in the upcoming DLC... I'm tired of eating wall.
It's gritty and tastes like... death. :?

Yes, we're aware of issues with the jump pads in Steel Peel. Due to the overpowered nature of jump pads we've made sure all classes die when they buy a jump pad in all maps in the next patch. Support classes will now die every time they use a jump pad even if they didn't just buy it.

Can you post a picture of exactly which jump pad you have issues with, and where you're standing when you enable it?

    nice

No I can not post a picture because I don't have the stuff to do it. But it is the jump pad on the pillar that is suppose to get you to the top ring of steel peel.

    Finally, some balance

But seriously, the jump pad is the one on the left coming out of your spawn, on the 2nd floor. There's not that many angles to approach it from so it might be easy to replicate. I think sometimes it has to do with a teammate trying to jump at the same time, knocks you off. But other times it just feels like killing. It throws you against the left side wall, over the bottomless pit... the jump pad AI... it's out for blood...

How is it killing you? Is it launching you into the wall? Or you being launched towards the big gap? I have never had the happen to me and I approach that jump pad for all kinds of crazy angles.

Throws you against the wall, and gravity takes care of the rest....

I'm pretty sure it happens when two people are trying to use the jumppad at roughly the same time. You get launched into the gap between your base and the dome when it happens.

As an assassin, I have dashed towards this same pad and it flings me into a wrong direction and I die in the gap :( Also, I believe someone else has mentioned this, but when I use it with someone else trying to use it, I get flung into the gap as well.

someone standing in the path of the jump pad (usually snipers) get in the way, and then you bounce off of them and off the edge. another con to camping snipers.

Yes, straight into the wall which I then slid down to my death. You know in between the left bot spawn and main battle ring.

I've seen this happen several times... whats happening is that at the begining when the pad is first unlocked and all the spawns are lining up to the launch pad (and other random moments in the game) ocassionally one of the other players will hit the jump pad the same time as the support and if they were too close in timing, it pushes the support left and into the wall. I dont think it has to do with the players being used... It seems more to deal with the timing of when players are consecutively getting on a launch pad. The last couple times it happend to me it was a gunner and a tank that "pushed" me over the left into the wall. A few days ago I was launched completely sideways, as in towards the garage/back entrance.. there was a gunner hitting the ramp right after me.
