There's still around 2 days left of the fall gaming sale on Steam. Anyone feel like pointing out some hidden jems that are on sale or pointing people to good buys? Mentioning optimization would also be a plus. I remember getting the Witcher series last steam sale and I regret blowing money on them since I can't run them for piss.
Right now Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is only 5 bucks http://store.steampowered.com/app/15750/ Postal 2 is half off right now ($7.49) http://store.steampowered.com/app/223470/
Sacred 2, 50% off. Decent RPG though there are glitches here and there, PC version has fixed majority of them afaik. KOTOR and KOTOR2 are both 50% off, 'nuff said. Krater, 66% off. A fine gift for any RPG-lover. Poor port but the game itself is enjoyable. Controller recommended.
MIRROR'S EDGE If you haven't played it yet, BUY IT RIGHT NOW. Seriously my favorite game ever. #ForeverWaitingForME2 Edit: Oh and Borderlands, Borderlands is good too
Mirror's Edge. Too short. Too easy. Meh story. Borderlands. Don't bother unless you're buying the DLC as well.
Yeah, when it was first released on Steam. Didn't they fix most of the problems with the HD version? I don't know how much it's going for right now, but Natural Selection 2 is lots of fun. Probably the best 10 bucks I've spent in a while
QFT, especially the hashtag. Bought and completed it twice. It was so fun, and fresh at the time. Maybe it would've done better in the current climate, but yeah I loved it, and its art style and gameplay. It was too short, but I hope they start working on ME2 soon - sick of seeing the DICE logo on yet another Battlefield. pouiasd can take stage right tbh.
Dragon Age: Origins. Feels like KOTOR 1 if KOTOR 1's decisions actually mattered in it's outcome. And KOTOR1 felt amazing. 50% off ATM
Keep a look out for Ultimate Edition for me as well. Just a bit out of my price range currently. I recall it going on sale in the fall sale so hoping for a flash sale now.
