I joined a game late today and noticed that you only get the basic starting cash. The problem is that I was basically gimped for the remainder of the match as I missed the first 5 minutes so having an inflated starting value would be ideal. Perhaps something along the lines of an extra $50 for every minute that has expired.
A player could leave and rejoin to earn the inflated value but $50 a minute is hardly game breaking so I wouldn't care if they exploited it. If they leave a match after 5 minutes and return that's only an extra $250 so nothing major. As it stands now a player could leave and rejoin and build/upgrade turrets with the starting money so it's not like the system can't be exploited already.
Excactly! And most people earn more in that timespan anyways.. If not all people. I haven't timed the frequency of the $50 you get. I think it's every 30 or 60 seconds?
I just talked to Scathis and apparently this was something we wanted to do but that just didn't make it in. Hopefully we'll see it in the future
I don't think that's a good idea but well... A great idea would be to give players their money back when the host has changed instead of reseting abilities + money.
This is a different issue entirely. I'm not saying I disagree but host migration has nothing to do with this topic.
I support this. It sucks to get dropped into a match with 3 minutes left on the clock and only enough coin to upgrade two skills.
this would really help late joiners in blitz... and it would be easier to balance in blitz than in crossfire. just give us a certain dollar amount based on the current wave the game is at.
