Splitscreen online play + genius

okay so i love this game,
if i had to point at one reason above everything else, that makes me happy about this game?
it wouldn't be the awesome and funny classes,
the customization system,
the maps,
the game modes,
the sports star like feel to the game,
the pro tags,
the bacon or countless other fantastic things about the game, it's the splitscreen co-op.

the Halo games have done it, i don't know many other games that do.. but it is a fantastic idea, one that really isn't in enough modern games these days.
thank you Uber, for including online couch play with a friend in this game.

i can sit down and play this game with my little bro, and play online against people.

I really pushed hard for splitscreen internally because I game with my gf all the time. It's actually a really tough feature for a small dev team like us to get into a game so I'm really happy we were able to ship with it.

Didn't even bother to check if it had the feature as most games don't. Mad stoked that it does, now I can drag my girl in to the arena with me.

She makes me do yoga, I figure this'll be a fair trade

it kind of makes me sad there are less splitscreen games nowadays, with so much online play, they have become an undesirable thing for big companies.. after all.. why let them splitscreen when they can both buy the system and the game for themselves, spend more money and get the same feature?

I wish more game did this, I've only seen halo and 1 or 2 more do it. Good work!

But, I'm not sure if this is my TV only or the game, the 2 screens are not on top of each other, they are above and to the side with a black box next to it.

That is actually the way it was designed.

It is not cut vertically in half and squished, and not on top of eachother, after all, who sits in the middle view of the screen and on top of eachother to play? Off set works quite well I think.

Yes thank you SO much Neutrino for pushing splitscreen. Me and my wife take turns on CoD and its just not the same. This makes the game literally 100 times more fun. thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!

It might be because I'm so used to Spec-Ops on MW2 on Widescreen, but I don't think its offset.
I don't have time to check now, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Try changing your resolution, that should fix it.

on my screen it's a horizontal line through the tv dividing the top and bottom..
i dont see any black boxes or anything..

i REALLY like it that way too.
having a vertical split means you can see things above you, but not to your left or right.. which is kind of fatal for most games..
so yeah, horizontal split screen is great

do you mean that on some peoples screen it looks kinda like this?

Play on a Widescreen High Resolution, you'll probably get black boxes.

I don't have them for MC, only on MW2.
