Split screen multiplayer

Hello there,

I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, I used the search function and couldn't find anything conclusive.

My question is, how many people can play the game on one console? I was hoping four, though I haven't seen any 360 shooters that offer that possibility - two seems to be the standard. It seems quite ridiculous, considering even Golden Eye offered four player split screen back when everyone had considerably smaller televisions.

Anyway, really looking forward to this game. If the classes are well thought out, Blitz mode will blow L4D and any other Team vs. mostly AI shooters out of the water.

2-player split screen on 1 console.

I'm pretty sure only two people can play on one console. Xbox.com lists MNC as having 1-2 player co-op.

From what I understand, splitscreen is a lot harder to do than one would think. You essentially have to get the game running twice at the same time so more players on one console could mean less quality overall.

And yes, this game will be awesome!

Just to clarify, it's 2 people per console. I would have liked to have offered more but this was the compromise to get it in and get it done. It was a ton of work to get this feature in for an XBLA game Hopefully people use it!

Several of my friends have xboxen and LIVE, but don't typically play many XBLA games. Frequently, they'd come over to my place and play some local multiplayer of games that they'd never even heard of. On several occasions, they enjoyed it so much that they bought it themselves. So, at least in my experience, it's a great way to get exposure, too.

Once I go back to school, I will definitely be taking advantage of split-screen as this will be the first game I show them!

I'm so glad this will be featured in this game, it makes the whole gaming experience better when you can sit on the couch with your friend and play a game together... not to mention the fact that you can go online and lose together . Thanks Uber!
