Usually when I try to search something It's error appear: It's really annoying because I can't use google for alpha-only PA subforums. Is everybody have see error to? How often? Uber, it's possible to disable search limit at least for users who own games?
The reason they (severely) limited the search function was because it was causing the forums to become unusable - literally hours of downtime. And that was even before PA was a thing. They also said they've been meaning to upgrade but have been putting it off. I don't know any other details.
I have expirience in forum supporting/administrating and I understand why they might limit it. But PA forum for example doesn't even have 100,000 of posts, it's really use far less resources than few PA game servers. I don't see any reason why Uber can't afford to spend a couple of hundred bucks to rent better dedicated server for forums. E.g mysql+nginx+php+cache on 150$ server can process tens of thousands of posts per day and this forum is way less active.
/shrug who knows it's not like they said "we refuse to upgrade." I don't really know what's going on.
I understand that they probably just haven't time for upgrade, but I want to believe somebody of Uber will read it and fix that problem. This particular issue is really important because people want to find information about PA technical problems and they can't use search because that limit.
