So i really like planetary annihilation, playing as massive robots, good fun. I was chatting to one of my friends about it and we came up with an idea, that every planet has on it an 'indigenous' sentient race (like humans), that are completely minuscule to the robots. They can't do anything to you, we thought it might be funny if you can just step on them and they try to shoot you but it does nothing, make no difference to the game-play whatsoever, for a bit of comedy. Anyway, just an idea i wanted to get out there.
I think cosmetically this would be hilarious, but simulation wise might be a strain. Definitely something for the more distant future. Just get the tiniest speck of a model, probably get away with a black tiny box or something, just bound to the surface, and shoot tiny specks of projectiles at your units, and they have no effect, but it looks cool, while your army colonizes and spreads the inhabitants simply fight in futile against an opponent not even aknowledging them. Sadly, this would also turn what would otherwise be a meteorite smashing a planet harmlessly in the grand scheme of things the planet is barren, into a travesty of genocide. Such a shame lol, but I can live with it.
