Now I've mained assassin since this first came out and have gotten to the point where I'm fairly proficient at it, and even regularly get high places in public matches when not playing with friends. So I thought, "Maybe the assassin is a little OP... Maybe I'm on EZ mode..." So I try some other classes and HOLY CRAP! *Note: I've played maybe around 10 matches with these classes after becoming comfortable with them so I guess it could just also be the players I was playing with at the time. **Other note: These are solely my views on classes that I've played. You might be far more/less effective with a class than I am and maybe I'm doing it wrong somewhere. Assault: seemed fine in terms of power/health/range, his abilities seemed to recharge a little too fast and it seemed easy to spam the charge attack because of it, ringouts galore! Not necessarily OP, but felt cheap with lvl 3 charge. 8/10 in general effectiveness, exceptional ringouts and crit rate ftw! Tank: this class took a while to get used to, and took a while to learn good sponsor combos. After finally finding one I liked, he seemed pretty good. Definitely liked being able to survive a back stab! Abilities felt like they should recharge just a teeny bit faster. 9/10 in general effectiveness once you get used to it. Support: Easy to learn, easy to master, but easy to counter at range. Short range all the way! IMO hacks should recharge faster, but make them a bit less overwhelming. A level 3 laser turns into a monster with a 3 hack! 9/10 general effectiveness only because lack of effective range. Sniper: DEAR GOD! Maybe I'm just a good sniper (as a class).... But this class is ridiculously easy for me! I can shoot through multiple enemies, explode shots through multiple enemies, and spam said shots! I have freeze traps to make maintaining streaks easier! Flak to force others to come out to my slaughter! Grapple for any dumb enough to rush me that kills them instantly or sends them flying to their doom! Granted all this is after intense upgrades. Snipers will make even "OP" supports cower in fear! 10/10 general effectiveness, especially since I'm so skinny and hard to hit! Gunner: haven't played enough yet to make any real observation (some would argue that 10 matches isn't enough after becoming familiar to make any either) Back to assassin: Now I feel like I'm made of paper, dash & slash seems weak vs good players anyway. Back grapple OHK (except tanks) ftw! I'll gladly take a damage/clip/RoF/all the above nerf to shurikens in exchange for faster projectile velocity! Though I will say that juice is easiest to rack up here, and juice is always good! 6/10 general effectiveness after comparing how well I do with other classes (10/10 when juiced). I'm trying to not say that any one class is OP or UP, just how they stack up when I played them in public matches and figured I'd share for any who care. /great wall o' text :lol:
