SOLUTIONS 2: this time we mean business (trust me on this)

i liked the idea of the solutions thread but its direction was too narrow to not explode. especially with such a big topic as pr and pricing trying to suppress opinion isn't going to work.

here's my proposal to what this thread is for:

1. discussing how to deal with new comers and their reactions too things they do not understand

2. discussing possible pr solutions to the problems we know will happen. no use blowing off solving the problems we know are coming.

3. discussing things that will help people in general.

in short this is the human error debug thread.

What PR problems?

This has been covered before and mostly boils down to Valve having annoying policies that we can't change and a need to help people become more informed. While we can't do anything about the first part we can do something about the second. In fact we have already done as much as we really can in many other threads.

How is this different than the other thread? Just deal with problems as they come, and focus on the game.

He means the boycotting the game over the prerelease to certain people who hold goodies over their heads like link any zelda game.

Which will in fact probably be nothing. If the game is good it will stand up to it. It isn't like it is payTOwin or that alpha people really are the only people who can play the game right.

I however don't flame to smoke the OP for posting this. He is just a concerned player who doesn't want to see this game boycotted.

i should mention pr is being used in lack of a better term

also im talking about the kinds of things we have ran into already like the proto planet glitch being posted a billion times, people complaining about prices, people not grasping the whole alpha thing, and if that keeps up where going to have people complaining about our canned "its alpha get over it" response

i also had an idea to help people fully optimize widows to run games like this and finding programs for that and such and such

dealing with major problems like threats of boycots is part of it but i also want this thread to help people out for all out of game issues, misunderstandings, and other problems that DON'T fall within the realm of tech support
