If you feel inclined at any point to create a custom pub, good for you. Host it, I don't care. But if you do, I'd like to ask that you not enforce PM rules as it ruins the meaning of the word 'pub' and generally f*cks me over when all I wanna do is occasionally kill a bunch of people.

Also, if you would, make sure everyone can play every class. That would be swell.

No problem. When I make custom pubs, I usually just leave everything as "Pub" but turn off juice buying.

I'm pretty sure juice buying off is one of the grievances as it is a PM rule

Just be respectful of the people who get sucked back into a lobby they may not wanna play in. I don't really condone juice rushing but I understand that's just some people enjoy playing that way so I overlook it.

To be honest, I'm all for custom pubs disappearing but since I know the likelihood of that happening is slim, I would at least like if the hosts of these matches respected the people who play in them a little more and not arbitrarily construct the rules to f*ck someone over who can't play in another lobby.

I kind of agree with Lead. My buddy was over yesterday playing on my acct (superslayer) and I watched him participate in an hour long marathon match with Lead and a few LnTc guys at steel peel with juice buying off, and they had two teammates who went a combined like 5-120 while Lead's tank was mercilessly sniped at and juiced on while he was playing tank and no real juice to be had with explosive round juice popping off left and right

No really though, when I do a custom pub it is just to be able to turn off juice when things are looking really purple in my lobby. I honestly don't care about things like 1 Gunner\5 Support or force random class matches. They can be fun from time to time but I honestly don't even run custom pubs any more.

I wish this game had a "try not to return to this lobby" option...

If I had a custom lobby I would just rotate the maps I like. Although it should be 40% whenever I pub I swear I get G3 or spunky at least 80% or more of the time

If I get host in a custom pub it's always by accident and I forget to change the rules. Also, it never lets me rotate the maps.

How does it happen by accident anyway? It happened to me once recently. There was a host migration in the lobby at about 11 seconds left to game start. When the migration was finished, I suddenly had "Match Options." First and only time I've had that happen.

I just assumed that if a custom pub host left, it kicked everyone. At least, back when they were more popular, that's what always happened to me.

If you are in options and someone invites you to a pub and it migrates to you, that would be accidental.

That is one way. You can also join someone while in PM options. Sometimes it works if you are just in a PM and take an invite - you don't have to be in the options screen, but it is much more reliable if you are.

I don't know where it first came from. I discovered it by testing out some stuff in a private solo game, deciding I wanted to test it in a pub so I joined a friend to have a partner in crime. The host migrated a couple of times, and eventually I had control of options. I knew it was possible from Feedles posts before (no idea how he found it - let's assume magic), but that is how I found the way that I do things.

I have seen the no map change bug too, and have had it happen to me. Not being able to swap map is probably a bug that happens since you are using a bug to make a custom pub in the first place.

Anyway, to add to this, if you're going to host a custom pub, at least don't be the jerk that absent hosts it. I mean, wtf is the point? Looking at you, Lntc Ranger.
