So when I picked up Pokemon Black today... (MNC related)

...with a friend I've been trying to convince to get MNC, I remembered that GameStop sells cards that can be redeemed on XBL. The manager had opened early since there were naturally a crapton of Pokemon preorders. I asked him if they had any codes for MNC in stock and he said "Yes, why?"

Me: "So I can get it for this guy right here."

Manager: "Who cares? It sucks."

Me: "How so? You can't just start playing the game and owning people like in Call of Duty."

Manager: "CoD takes skill."

Me: "Uh, not really. You grab a gun and shoot someone once and they're dead."

Manager: "Well those guys with the high kill death ratios are pretty skilled."

Me: "Yeah, but they'll die super quick too."

Manager: "Not really, they know what they're doing. MNC is a bad game anyway."

Me: "So you're telling me you hate bacon?"

Manager: "What?"

Me: "Bacon, it's a powerup in MNC."

Manager: "What kind of game has Bacon in it?"

Unfortunately a wave of customers started coming in so I never really got a chance to say anything else. I should've mentioned that MNC is an objective oriented team-based game when he brought up K/D ratios, but that wasn't my first thought after he said MNC sucks. Ugh, if only I had a few more minutes to convince him otherwise.

Gamestop and their employees are a poison of society.

And most people just don't understand. I've managed to convince a few people who regular the Black Ops board on GameFAQs to try MNC, and they have all agreed it's incredibly difficult to just pick up and pwn. I personally wish more people could show some resolve and develop their skills, but with instant gratification available in the form of games like CoD many "casual" (I hate using this word) players turn away from games like this.

Come on, we all sucked once.

My last gamestop experience with mnc was pretty cool. I was in a halo reach tournament and the first guy i was playing with the entire time we talked about nothing but mnc

I never had any luck with gamestop employees. My friend is one. He NEVER plays or likes the same thing as me. I gave up long ago.

Halo Reach? I just won't play it.

Modern Warfare 2? His opinion, he hates everyone playing as a team, but the ump45 shows individual skill. My opinion of his opinion, is to facepalm.

Guitar Hero? He plays it, but naturally he feels it is a waste of $60 because he isn't so good. :evil: Every time I go and buy one, he warns me for 7 minutes not to because it is a waste of money. And I bought all of them from him so far.

This game, well I know he will say it is a cheap arcade game, so why have the conversation? He will also probably compare it to black ops, where people can shoot people and show off skill (yay, broken weapons take so much skill).

The people that work at Gamestop are ignorant bung bungs. I know this kool guy and this chick I dated (she was 18 and I'm 16, let's fight about it) that worked at Gamestop but other then that Gamestop employees don't know what they're talking about.

All Gamestop employees are 18, and some people I know I'm 16 so I know I was going to be questioned for it.

I'm ok with my friend who works at Gamestop playing Halo. At least you need to bother with remembering power weapon spawns. But she doesn't like CoD.

Also, most people are dumb. This is not unique to GameStop. I have worked there and may work there again soon. Most of the employees didn't know much about video games, but there were also some who did.
