So... what about more (and some basic) UI features...until "release"?

will basic missing UI features, we know from previous games, be part of the 1.0?

    For example:
    • Better factory queues, where you can actually see and change the order of unit production?
    • Moving of waypoints and building blueprints?
    • idle engineer and factory overview?
    • toggleable permament (radar) range circles for example
Im sure there are a lot of other ideas and wishes for the UI but i feel like those are the basic missing ones (for me).

If you have other important UI features, maybe we can discuss this here, and maybe Uber can say something official about it.

I also would like the possibility, that i can give a build order to a factory, which has a queue, without deleting the queue. So the factory would build that unit with high priority (next) and afterwards return to its queue.

Another important thing imo would be special selection modes, where i click a hotkey or button in the ui and afterwards i select like i always do, but only selecting what i want, like engineers, air, ground, factories etc.

Not to mention all the important UI mod info that should be in the game and not only in mods (like mex count in system overview, more detailed eco overview, which the efficiency was a good step into that direction).

I remember that UI thread... maybe one could reread that, there were so many great ideas, and the UI really was improved in the last 6 months but for a game of a scale like this, there is still a great way to go!

Yeah lots of UI features still need to be done. Imho the ingame UI should take priority over the lobby UI. The lobby is good enough, it does what it is supposed to do :p

    EDIT:
Also some serious perf improvements have to go into getting rid of the laggy UI in late game situations. I am not quite sure where the lag comes from, but it needs to be addressed.

well discussion... I think there was so much discussion about it, what we need now are implementations. And sadly the API lags some things for us to do it ourselves in many cases.
