Thats sucks. I did that a couple of months ago, still havent fixed it. Cleared my cache, tried to undo it during a host migration, still muted.

its an old glitch that you could mute yourself in MNC and it would universally show up in any game. it had no effects at all, but i believe uber mentioned fixing it a while ago.

Yeah, I tried to clear my cache and all this other stuff many times, didn't fix anything. :(
It shows up in other games, too. Except Reach and MvC3, so I've noticed.

HAH I HAVE DEFEATED THEE, SELF MUTE GLITCH!

It was sort of by luck. There were ~5 people in the lobby, so I just kept muting/unmuting the person above me figuring they would leave and I would be granted the chance to unmute myself. They did, and it worked.

So try this out and see if it works. Get someone to host a private lobby, then invite a friend, and then invite you. It should be:

    Lobby Host
    Other Person
    You

in that order. Tell the "Other Person" (ask nicely, preferably) to leave after a set number of time, and in the meantime, keep muting/unmuting them. You may be able to time it skillfully, but for the sake of just making it work, spam it (press it frequently, but don't mash it). It may lag the game a bit. When they do leave, you get bumped up a spot and have a fairly small window of time to make it work. In that time, I was actually able to unmute, mute, then unmute myself again. So if you have about average reactions, you can probably make this work.

I have not tried this myself, but in theory it should work. I'd even be willing to help people try it out. Add me or just invite me, GT is FrenzyTEC.
