Any of those guys could be good at private matches if they applied the base skill the have in the correct way. But none of them have experience in doing so.

If they were to just jump right into a private match immediately, they probably wouldn't do too well. If Bolt or Hudson spent a little time learning the more modern strategies, I would imagine that they would be very good competitive players. They were always smart, they just got away with doing things that you can't get away with doing now that people have a more in depth understanding of the game.

I still play with Bolt every once in a while (been a minute though)...he's still one of the top pub players, and he doesn't rely on juice like most pubstars. So I'd imagine he'd be able to hold his own in privates once he learned how the classes are used.

im sure if they came back to the game and spent some time to improve and learn how private matches are played now things are different

most of the time they are played limits to 1 class, no juice buying and no buying any more rockets. bot spawning is mixed some on some off.

Skitzo, bolt, hudson, sahelkan, velka etc formed a team now they might have a hell of a time vs gunk, chollo, goldie, crimson, gemicide etc...

mind you theres people who still play this game like miracle, kckzi, shammas, chron who still wreck but they still wreck

If they started giving a **** (actually wanted to play pubs, on a team) they're still be amazing. People are talking about relative skill.

coulda woulda shoulda didnt. on a somewhat serious note, there were some older players with some gun game of course, but what people did from mnc launch to march 2011, versus what the next wave of players did from then through the summer of 2011, its not even close. you could take the best of those who quit around that time and before, and give them a month+ to catch up to speed while the current bests didnt play for that month, and the currents would stomp them. but no, they werent terrible

It's like the new team USA and the dream team, the dream team was great but they would get ran out the building if they played the new team USA. The dream team had the best iqs and were more team oriented but the new guy are just athletic machines.
