I saw someone comment that they'd be trying it for the first time. That made me realize, I will have an overwhelming advantage over a great many of the players.

Will have to resist the urge to dominate. Can't have me turning people away from such a great game. Still, going 90 and 0 on your first game is tempting.....

It'll be my first time playing, but I have a hell of a lot of experience in video games in general, let alone FPS'. So, you won't be able to dominate ALL the newbies.

FPS skills translate between games very well (TPS/FPS, same thing control-wise), and on the PC you have people who've been playing multiplayer FPS games with the keyboard/mouse for ~15 years now (I personally started with Quakeworld.) Having experience with the 360 version does count for something, but I doubt it'll matter as much as you seem to think it will. New players on the PC are also more likely to have played DotA-styled games, so I'm sure the community will catch on quick. The first day or so might be fun for you, though

I'm totally new but I've been watching some videos already, so you won't catch me with everything, but I'll let you dominate me

I'm not expecting complete novices. I mean people who don't know the strategy, like we all were when we first started out. And, the low levels you'll get matched up with now. They aren't bad. They're just not as good.

The whole keyboard/mouse thing won't matter to me. I am NOT using that to play. Unthinkable.

Yeah. You lost me. If you were saying good luck to finding a way to avoid using a keyboard and mouse, then I'd understand. As it is, I have no idea where the luck is being bestowed.

I meant, good luck coping when all the mouse users show you why the mouse is the premier control method for any and all shooters.

That's true. But, he more than likely has a point if he's saying it with such confidence. Ah well, it'll surface eventually.

No doubt, that goes for virtually any game with any depth at all. If you could be just as good having never played the game before, it wouldnt be muc of a game! But the fact remains that by time X (X being however long it takes to learn the nuances of the game) the controller users will be feeling a switch to mouse sounds like a good idea.

Only class you may be able to play with a controller and be on par with someone that is using a keyboard and mouse would be support. Accuracy of the controller is just terrible in comparison to a mouse. I recommend that you don't use a controller at all.

Then, I'll try practicing with a keyboard/mouse. And fail miserably. And practice some more. Huh. PC gaming. Never tried it before. CURSE YOU MNC.

I fear Gunners and Tanks and Assaults being extremely OP due to the mouse. People on consoles have to claw to jetpack and aim(very well) at the same time. People on the PC will all beable to do it the first time they play AND have all three skills on the mouse.

At the same time, shooting people who are floating in the air will be MUCH easier, especially if we get many Tribes players in here. We'll see how it balances out
