Currently the sniper and gunner classes lack a third active skill. The button is replaced and used as a secondary grapple button. While both of these classes are fine without the third skill, a third skill would be nice. So what is your opinion on a third skill for those classes? Have any ideas? Go ahead and post them! Imo I think if the sniper were to get a third skill some sort of marking grenade that puts an outline around enemies hit by it allowing them to be seen behind walls or a hologram of a camping sniper as a distraction. Not sure about gunner, since I've only played him once, when I was testing out each class when I first got the game. So, what do you guys think? Note - Sorry if this is meant to be in wishlist. I figured this would be a better place for the thread. Feel free to move.
Well, giving the sniper something else would take away his ridiculously overpowered B grapple. The idea of being able to place a decoy sniper is interesting and would fit with the idea of his skills being traps. (i.e. someone approaches the decoy and the actual sniper is able to pick him off)
Sorry, but you're mistaken. The gunner and sniper both have two grapples. The alternate fire of the sniper's SMG is a grapple, and the sniper's B skill is also a grapple that can ring out when upgraded. You can do them one right after another without waiting for the skill to recharge.
My joy as a sniper is playing a grappler. While the move itself is arguably overpowered, it's actually pretty freaking hard to get close enough to people to use it without camping one spot. It's actually a neat alternate play style. The two grapples give the sniper a way to help clear the bot lanes as he passes through (until the last 5 minutes when there are 3 black jacks at a time). The flack grenade is always a great way to soften up turrets while the frost traps slow everyone down. Gunner grapple upgraded once will kill assassins (except maybe a gold armor endorsed one). Having two grapples gives him a decent way to clear a bot lane in the first 10 without spending minigun ammo too. You want to rag on a skill that serves almost no purpose... go talk to the tank's deploy. Against decent/aggressive players you almost never have time to use it even for the heal, let alone infinite ammo.
