I feel kind of bad for the assassins with the upcomming patch, so I figured I'd mention this one. If i burn an assassin as either a tank or an assault then they blind me, I can still see their hp bar. This isn't much of a problem but if they fail the jump then i'd continue to burn/chase them as they flee, even though i'm blinded. In two seperate cases last night i saw one jump and kill them off with the rail gun while blinded. I assume similar cases occur if i'm burning somone else when I get blinded, though its much less likely to happen.
Enemy healthbars show when you do damage to them. You can even see the healthbars through walls and floors.
Exactly, burn damage does damage over time so the hp bar stays when blinded. It doesn't feel fair to the assassin as I can still technically see them. I can understand behind walls, but the point of the bomb is to stop you seeing anything at all.
If thats the case then I'll just death blossom Even though it may that be important, I figured it was worth mentioning anyway. There are certainly more pressing issues to attend to.
lol i bet ive seen this but havent noticed. since the blind radius is pretty small i almost never get blinded. usually i just charge and 1hit them before they get a chance. or if they jump without blinding me i follow the healthbar to finish them
The blind effect of the smoke bomb is pretty laughable against anything but bots. It has such a short duration against pros (who can still do all the same knee-jerk charge/slam/grapple things that they usually do to kill assassins anyway) and turrets compared to the 12 seconds it takes to use the skill. It's useful for jumping to high places, and occasionally for escaping if you're a bit trapped but not under heavy fire yet.
wow I didnt even know this, that explains some of my deaths when playing sin because I actualy have been trying to work the blind into my playstyle Honestly this seems like somthing that should be "fixed" more then the sins cloak imo being burned is bad enough already for a sin and ya the blind honestly should last long enough to at least kill a fire base =/
I think if you are blinded, you shouldn't be able to see the bars. It would make the grenade more....effective, and dangerous if you hit yourself.
