If Uber would let us have the model for the kickstarter commander for modding purposes, that would be great.
You'll have to be more specific. There are at least 4 kickstarter commanders. Also, .json isn't used to store model data. That right belongs to .papa.
It was in the files during early alpha, as will be revealed by searching for "Imperial" in this subforum. Edit: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/...ns-of-different-unit-types.54932/#post-844071 https://forums.uberent.com/threads/bugs-and-questions-v-49167-from-ozonexo3.47220/#post-737085
So I was wrong but just because it's in the files doesn't mean it's going to be around. They add things they remove things.
I'm aware with that. I doubt that that will be the biggest roadblock to getting them working ingame unless their bones are set up like modern imperial commanders. Raevn, when you messed around with the imperial a few months ago did it have working animations?
I believe the original version of the Delta commander was closer to the version in the reveal teaser. We've since changed some of the commander weapon designs and simplified the Delta to match the generic imperial rig rather than each commander having its own unique bones and animation sets, which removed a lot of the extra bits he had originally. I too was a fan of the more elaborate look of the "open" Delta and would not be surprised to see some future designs like that... Even if I have to make them myself!
I think that you misunderstand me. I'm referring to the com in the kickstarter trailer, which looks closest to the alpha Commander. This guy: Unless you're telling me that the delta was originally going to look like that. In which case I won't believe you.
Ah, yes, that commander. He is indeed on a different rig than the now standard Imperial commanders. The one that showed up in the early builds of the game may have been built on the new rig though. I don't know if we have plans to release him or not, though it would seem silly not to release one that was at least an homage to the kickstarter video.
